SP20D Digital Microscope
The SP20D has been specifically commissioned by ourselves to combine effective optics with a stable camera CMOS chip and easy to use software that allows full image manipulation and image measurement.
The SP20D has a four position turret with RMS standard achromatic objectives x4, x10, x40 and x100 (oil), and a widefield x10 eyepiece giving a magnification range of x40 to x1000. There is a full mechanical stage with double vernier scale and coaxial drop down controls. Focus is by coaxial coarse and fine focus controls with an inbuilt safety stop. The focusing condenser has an iris diaphragm and filter carrier.
The illumination is provided by an extremely effective LED system and has full rheostat brightness control. The monocular eyetube rotates through 360°, and the camera system is enclosed within the head and shares the image with the eyepiece. No adjustment is therefore needed to bring the camera into operation. The camera unit is attached to a PC or Laptop via a USB 2.0 cable.
The camera has a 1.3M pixel (1280 x 1024) CMOS chip and is supported by Scopeimage software that is suitable for Windows XP/Vista and 7 in both 32 and 64 bit. This is included with the microscope will the necessary drivers and of course full operating instructions. Step by step instructions are provided that require relatively little computer knowledge to get things working.
The Scopeimage software has a large number of applications:
Also available is an excellent carrying case with reinforced aluminium corners and edges. Preshaped in hard rubberised foam to keep the microscope and its accessories safe and clean. Lock and carrying handel.
